A personal tour guide, Barbara, introduces you to the history and tradition of Siena to let you discover its famous monuments, such as the Cathedral and the Town Hall. During the workshop with the local painter Marco you learn all the secrets of the medieval painting with gold leaf.

To conclude your stay in Siena and “live as a local” you are introduced in the suggestive world of the Palio (the thrilling horse race that takes place twice a year in Piazza del Campo) visiting a Contrada Museum and meeting an artist who painted the “Drappellone”, an experience that you can live only here!

With this proposal you could have a full immersion into Italian culture, attending 16 hours of Italian lessons based on the experiential learning method and led by the Italian teacher Chiara. A personal tour guide, Barbara, introduces you to the history and tradition of Siena to let you discover its famous monuments, such as the Cathedral and the Town Hall. With her you also discover the best Sienese artisans visiting their original shops, the “botteghe”.

During the workshop with the local painter Marco you learn all the secrets of medieval painting with gold leaf. The professional photographer Leslie creates for you an original smartphone walking tour of the city to teach how you can take beautiful memories of your holiday in Tuscany.

You participate in a tour guide to explore the wonderful countryside around Siena, visiting Montalcino. You discover this magnificent medieval town and its famous products such as the Brunello di Montalcino (a prestigious red wine renewed all over the word) and the Saffron thanks to the visit of firms and special tasting.

This program provides the knowledge of Italian language while offering a total immersion into the Italian and Sienese lifestyle. You could discover the language attending 30 hours of Italian lessons based on the experiential learning method and led by the Italian teacher Chiara. A personal tour guide, Barbara, introduces you to the history and the tradition of Siena to let you discover its famous monuments, such as the Cathedral, the Town Hall, the Santa Maria della Scala.

With her you visit the best artisan workshops (“botteghe”) of Siena where techniques of the past are still used today to create paintings with gold backgrounds, stained glass windows, parchments, wrought iron objects or beautiful jewels. During the workshops with the local painter Marco you learn all the secrets of the medieval painting with gold leaf while the local ceramist Valentina introduces you to the world of handmade ceramics.

You develop your knowledge of Italian language and local culture by exploring wine culture with our Sommelier Alessandra, acquiring new words related to typical products and learning how to choose and taste some of the most traditional culinary delights of Siena.
